The Five Components of Luck
The Chinese believe that a person's success is based on five factors that are categorized under Heaven, Man or Earth Luck:
Heaven Luck
Destiny ( Ming )
Luck ( Yun )
Man Luck
Accumulation of good deeds ( Ji yin de )
Continuous study ( Du shu )
Earth Luck
Feng Shui ( Feng shui )
Heaven luck is governed by God. What's the difference between destiny and luck? If your life's purpose is your destination, your destiny is the kind of car Heaven has fated you in which to make the journey. While some people are destined to drive a luxury automobile, others must be satisfied with an economy car. Despite what car you drive, good luck is finding a timesaving short cut, driving on an open road in fine weather and with no traffic. Bad luck is getting a flat tire, getting lost, or taking your vehicle onto roadways not suited to it.
Man luck is governed by you. Man luck is the accumulation of virtuous deeds and continuous study. Simply, treating others as you would want to be treated, helping those less fortunate than you, refraining from gossip, and keeping your mind sharp will help bolster your own luck. Additionally, man luck is your free will. Positive thoughts and actions beget positive results. Negative thoughts and actions beget negative results.
Earth luck is governed by visible and invisible forces that surround and permeate your living and working space. The practice of studying and manipulating these forces to better your health, wealth, and relationships is called feng shui.
What is Feng Shui?
Feng shui is a meta-physical practice that studies how time (invisible energy) and space (visible energy like buildings, streets, the layout and shape of your home, and the placement of your furniture) interact to bring you fortune or cause you misfortune.
In fact, time and space are two sides of a coin. One cannot exist without the other. The time your home was “born” into and the magnetic space it sits on are important factors in a classical feng shui analysis. With this information, Master Val can tell you if your house falls into one of four categories:
1. A good for people, good for money house ( wang shan wang shui )
2. A bad for people, bad for money house ( shang shan xia shui )
3. A good for people, bad for money house ( shuang ling xing dou zuo )
4. A bad for people, good for money house ( shuang ling xing dou xiang )
Some houses or places of business are inherently lucky, some are unlucky, and some are lucky in bringing either good health or good money.
Like people, we all know about lucky houses or businesses. In lucky houses, occupants thrive. They're happy and healthy. In lucky businesses, owners have an abundance of loyal customers. On the other hand, we all know houses and businesses that are unlucky. They've seen divorce and financial disaster. They've seen theft, litigation, employee turnover, and bickering. It's easy to spot an unlucky business space. First it's used for a dry cleaning business, then it's a copying center, then it's a beauty parlor, and then it's a bookstore. In between, the space is vacant much of the time.
Turning an Unlucky Space into a Lucky One
While some houses and businesses cannot be fixed, a scenario that is more the exception than the rule, most spaces can be remedied. By knowing the year the building was built and its magnetic orientation, a numeric energy map is drawn up. By reading the combination of numbers that occupy certain areas within the space, Master Val can predict lucky and unlucky events. He then remedies misfortune and enhances good fortune. In essence, when the energy is balanced, the space becomes lucky bringing about the likelihood of better earth luck. Better money, better health, and better relationships. And who doesn't want that?
2004: The Year of the Money
Since 1984, we've been in Period 7. To the Chinese, the number seven is innately harmful and inauspicious bringing lawsuits, corporate and governmental corruption, robbery, and war. The number 7 is associated with hard metal, a substance that is unbending, restrictive, and uncompromising. We've all seen the number seven at work. America has become very litigious, with lawyers prospering. White-collar criminals have robbed their shareholders of their hard-earned money. Insider trading is rampant. Riots, looting, and warring are the norm.
The good news is that Period 7 comes to a close on February 3, 2004. The next day, Period 8 begins and lasts for twenty years until 2024. The number 8 is the most auspicious number in Chinese cosmology. It is considered the king money number. Coming once every 180 years, the number 8 is associated with earth. Soft and moist, the number is fertile and ripe for harvesting prosperity. When this number is properly identified and enhanced in your home or business, luck will be on your side particularly if it's located in the main entrance, office, or bedroom. Wouldn't you like to know where your number 8 is?
Can Heaven luck be strengthened?
If earth luck can be strengthened by feng shui, can a person's heaven luck be strengthened, too? The answer is yes! Master Val uses a method of Chinese astrology that calculates your luck in yearly and ten-year increments. Like houses and places of business, some people are born lucky. They effortlessly find good paying jobs. They consistently win sweepstakes. They have robust health. They have good marriages and meaningful friendships. You know the type. Then there are those who aren't so lucky. They struggle to make ends meet. They have a string of failed relationships. They're fatigued. They suffer from insomnia. They find it hard forging friendships with the right people.
Whether you're lucky or unlucky, Master Val will advise you how to increase your luck. You'll learn what colors, climates, and careers are best for you. If you're single, you'll learn what type of mate to look for. You'll learn which friends and family members bolster your spirit. You'll learn what type of people you should avoid. You'll learn what direction to place your bed and desk to inspire a restful sleep and prosperity.
Whether you're inherently lucky or unlucky, you can bolster your Man Luck by living the Golden Rule. Whether you're lucky or unlucky, you can bolster your Heaven Luck by having your luck calculated and following a luck prescription. Whether you're lucky or unlucky you can bolster your earth luck by having a feng shui evaluation of your space.
Good Man Luck + Good Heaven Luck + Good Earth Luck = A Lucky You!
